The Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources is one of the core Ministries of the Government of Sierra Leone that was established under Act No. of 1991 constitution of Sierra Leone that is committed to maximizing Government revenue from the Mineral Sector for the benefit of all Sierra Leoneans.
What's The Mandate of the Ministry
The Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources is responsible for formulating Policies and plans for the development and Management of the Minerals Sectors in Sierra Leone.
To address the exploitation of Mineral Resources and to ensure the effective and efficient Management of these Mineral resources for sustainable development.
To excel in the management of Mineral resources and to ensure maximum benefit from our Mineral Resources to all Sierra Leone.
The Ministry exists to promote mining Investment and regulate the Mining Industry, through the adoption and implementation of appropriate policies and programs
Integrity, Professionalism, Revenue Generation, Investment promotion, Compliance, Transparency, Accountability, and Service Delivery Efficiency.
